Product Warranty

Alfa Kids guarantees that all our products are subjected to stringent quality checks during the design, manufacturing and packaging process and therefore Alfa Kids guarantees that this product is free of defects in workmanship and manufacturing material at the time of purchase.

Despite our best efforts should your product show signs of manufacturing or material defects within the warranty period we will comply with our warranty terms and conditions.

Your Alfa Kids product(s) will automatically be covered from the date of purchase.

Please ensure that the original receipt is kept in a safe place as the date of purchase should be clearly visible should a warranty claim be submitted.

Please note that this warranty is in addition to warranties to which you are entitled to in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, Act 68 of 2008 (‘the CPA’) in the event that you are a consumer as defined in the CPA.

The Alfa Kids chassis and seat frame will be under warranty for twelve (12) consecutive months from the date of purchase.

This warranty applies in the country of purchase only.

The warranty applies to the first owner and is not transferable.

Manufacturing defects include, but are not limited to, the breaking of welds and frame tube damage.

Seat fabrics, carrycots, handlebar foam/leather, bumper bar foam and accessories will be under warranty for six (6) consecutive months from the date of purchase.

The original warranty will not be extended should repairs take place during the warranty period. However, if you are a consumer in terms of the CPA, you will have the extended 3 (month) warranty in terms of section 57 (1) of the CPA, which period is effective from the date of repair.

Warranty Exclusions

Damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidental damage, improper use and damage caused by negligence, misuse and by not following the maintenance instructions will not be covered under the warranty conditions.

The Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Corrosion or rust
  • Incorrect assembly or the installation of third-party parts or accessories not compatible with the original design or endorsed by Alfa Kids.
  • Accidental or intentional damage, abuse or neglect
  • Commercial use
  • Improper storage, transport or care of the unit
  • If your chassis becomes faulty after or during use with a buggy board.

Warranty Claims

Should you feel that there are any problems with your Alfa Kids product(s) please contact the original stockist.

A full evaluation of the warranty claim will need to be conducted by Alfa Kids at their premises in Johannesburg. Should the defect fall within the warranty claim then the problem will be repaired, or the defective part will be replaced at no cost to the client.

Should the warranty claim arise due to any of the warranty exclusions listed above, a quotation will be provided to the client for the repair or to replace the defective part. The client will also be responsible for the delivery fees to Alfa Kids and from Alfa Kids to the client.
